“Sports not only build better athletes but also better people” Julie Foudy
If there is one field of life which enables us the most crucial aspect about determination and self- restraint and above all what constitutes an exemplary character, it is sports. The annual sports day was celebrated with the theme ‘ Floresco 2K22’ with great spirit on 26th November 2022 at St.Joseph’s Convent School . The school compound was overflowing with exhilaration, passion and enthusiasm and the school ground was beautiful decorations and proper arrangements.
The programme commenced with the arrival of the highly distinguished chief guest Mrs. Harinder Kaur D.E.O (S.E) Patiala & Additional charge D.P.I. (E.E.) Punjab and The guest of honour Rev.Fr.Kejus judicial Vicar of Simla- Chandigarh Diocese.
The chief guest, guest of honour, Fathers - sisters, dignitaries, parents were welcomed warmly.
The Students presented a wide array of zestful sports events ranging the band display, March past, track events, drill, cultural dance performances. They mesmerized the spectators with their lively and dynamic performances. The proud parents were witnessed filled with delightsome raising the morals of the students. The winners and achievers were awarded with medals and certificated.
The chief guest, Mrs. Harinder Kaur D.E.O addressed the gathering through which the emphasized the importance of sports in a child’s life. She also appreciated and encouraged the school management, staff and students.
Rev. Fr. Kejus also enlightened the audience with his words of wisdom.
A token of gratitude was presented to respected chief guest and all the dignitaries.
After the vote of thanks, the whole gathering with immense pride stood in the honour of school Anthems .Beating of the retreat marked the splendorous end of the day.
